Superb small silver-plated dish/trinket tray in the shape of a scallop shell.
It bears the hallmark of the International Silver Company (Meriden, Connecticut, USA) and dates from the 1940s.

Rests on three feet shaped like tiny shells!

Perfect for storing your jewellery, keys, crystals, little shells, etc.
Or for charging them (see the Symbolism section)

Since ancient times, the scallop shell has been believed to protect against bad luck, illness and bad luck.
It is also a symbol of purification and resurrection.
