The latest ones in the family: behold the Petrine inverted cross talisman & earrings.
The Cross of Saint Peter, also known as the Petrine Cross, is an inverted Latin Cross traditionally recognised as a Christian symbol but also, more recently, as an anti-Christian symbol.
In Christianity, it is associated with the martyrdom of Saint Peter who, when sentenced to death, requested that his cross be upside down.
I recently crafted this special pair as a custom order and instantly knew that I had to add them to the boutique!
In the same style as my other talismans, they are both handcrafted in Sterling silver with a hammered finish.

Les derniers nés de la famille : voici le talisman et les boucles d’oreilles croix inversée Petrine.
La Croix de Saint-Pierre, également connue sous le nom de Croix de Néron (ou croix Petrine, en anglais), est une croix latine inversée, traditionnellement reconnue comme symbole chrétien mais également, plus récemment, comme symbole anti-chrétien.
Dans le christianisme, elle est associée au martyre de Saint Pierre qui, lorsqu’il fut condamné à mort, demanda à ce que sa croix soit à l’envers.
J’ai récemment confectionné cette paire dans le cadre d’une commande personnalisée et j’ai tout de suite su que je devais les ajouter à la boutique !
Dans le même style que mes autres talismans, ces pièces sont fabriquées à la main en argent massif avec un fini martelé.
Le talisman Petrine ainsi que ses boucles d’oreilles sont désormais tous deux disponibles sur commande.
