The classic Sun Wheel symbol featuring an equal-armed cross within a circle appears in the iconography of numerous cultures across the Globe from the dawn of history.
This new talisman, called Solstice, was inspired by a specific version of the Sun Wheel dating from the second half of the second millennium BC, found in Zürich displayed at the Swiss National Museum (see photo, from Wikipedia).
I first crafted it as a bespoke piece for the French artist Maéna, who kindly allowed me to add it to my list of offerings.

– Hal-An-Tow – Chanson folklorique britannique, XVIIème siècle –
Le symbole classique de la Roue Solaire, représentant une croix aux bras égaux dans un cercle, apparaît dans l’iconographie de nombreuses cultures du monde depuis l’aube de l’histoire.
Ce nouveau talisman, appelé Solstice, s’inspire d’une version spécifique de la roue solaire datant de la seconde moitié du deuxième millénaire avant JC, trouvée à Zürich et exposée au Musée national suisse (voir photo, prise sur Wikipedia).
Je l’ai d’abord créé en tant que pièce personnalisée pour l’artiste française Maéna, qui m’a gentiment permis de l’ajouter à ma boutique.
