I listed two new Petroglyph pieces in the shop: these Totems are inspired by Nordic Bronze Age rock carvings.
The Heiðrún Totem
In Norse mythology, Heiðrún (Heidrun) is a goat which consumes the foliage of the tree Læraðr and produces mead for Odin’s gods and warriors.
This pendant represents a proud goat with spiraling horns. Its story reminds me of Duraþrór‘s (more here) and I loved to give them matching postures.
The Dagskip earrings
The Norse depicted their rituals as symbols in order to understand their world, a world whose symbolism represented the ceremonial battles between winter and summer.
For the Norse, the “Day / Sun Ship” was an icon of the path of the sun. The disk above the ship represents the sun as it is this ship that, carrying this heavenly body, enables its eternal journey.
These earrings are matching the Dagskip necklace.

J’ai ajouté deux nouveaux bijoux Pétroglyphes en boutique. Tous deux sont inspirés de l’art rupestre de l’Age de Bronze Scandinave :
Dans la mythologie nordique, Heidrun (Heiðrún en vieux norrois) est la chèvre qui se nourrit des feuilles de l’arbre Læraðr. De ses pis sort une abondante quantité d’hydromel qui emplit une cuve afin que les dieux et les guerriers d’Odin puissent s’en abreuver.
Ce pendentif représente une fière chèvre aux cornes recourbées. Son histoire me rappelle celle de Duraþrór‘s (à lire ici) et je me suis amusée à leur donner des postures qui se répondent.
Les Vikings décrivaient leurs rituels à travers des symboles dépeignant leur monde, un monde dont le symbolisme était rythmé par les batailles cérémonielles entre l’hiver et l’été, le jour et la nuit.
Ces boucles d’oreilles sont assorties au collier Dagskip.
