This palindrom was first discovered on the floor of a Pompei villa but it has been used in all kinds of places, throughout the centuries. Although its meaning remains a mystery, it is known to have been a protection talisman for centuries, keeping harm from coming to those who displayed or carried it.
The Sator Square is also often called a Magic Square. There are two ways to compose this Magic Square: one starting by SATOR and the other by ROTAS, both seem to have the same meaning and properties.
With my precedent version of the Sator/Rotas Magic Square amulet, I used to give the choice between the two writings but decided to make a little change. The amulet is now reversible, displaying both combinations of words:

Ce palindrome a été découvert sur le sol d’une villa de Pompéi, mais il a été utilisé dans de nombreux lieux et a traversé les siècles.
Bien que sa signification reste un mystère, il est connu pour avoir été un talisman de protection pendant des siècles, protégeant du danger celui qui le portait.
Le carré Sator est également souvent surnommé Carré Magique. Il existe deux façon de composer le Carré Magique, une commençant par SATOR et l’autre par ROTAS, les deux semblent avoir les même signification et propriétés.
Avec ma version précédente de l’amulette Carré Magique Sator / Rotas, j’offrais le choix entre les deux écritures mais j’ai décidé de changer. L’amulette est dorénavant réversible, affichant ainsi les deux combinaisons :
